We are pleased to provide a sneak preview of some of the items that will be featured in the Mid-Ohio-Con 2010 post-show charity auction on eBay. Proceeds from the auction will go to benefit the Hero Initiative, a nonprofit organization that creates a financial safety net for comic creators who need emergency medical aid, financial support for the essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work.
The auction will feature original art and other work from our guests at Mid-Ohio-Con 2010, many of whom made incredibly generous contributions. Of particular note, the auction includes all the giant sketches (19" x 24") done by artists on the Main Stage easel during the 30th anniversary show. The auction will start on eBay on Black Friday, November 26th just in time for the holiday shopping season!

Mid-Ohio-Con 2010 Costume Contest
Photo Gallery
The third annual Mid-Ohio-Con costume contest was a high point of an event-filled weekend, with $1,000 in prize money attracting more contestants than ever before. Whether walking the show floor or battling it out on the main stage, costumers made a colorful spectacle everywhere you turned. Congratulations to this year's winnners and many thanks to everyone who donned the cape and tights (and fur, and feathers, and paint, and latex, and gas masks, and chainsaws) to help make MOC 2010 our best show yet.
Here's our costume contest photo gallery by MOC friend and photographer Aimee Finley. Enjoy!

Mid-Ohio-Con 2010 Lost & Found
People seem to lose things on the show floor at Mid-Ohio-Con every year and fortunately many of them find their way to the Lost & Found in our main ticket booth. A lot of the lost items get returned during the show (The Black Cat's mobile phone, for example. Meow!) but a few always seem to get left behind. Check out the short video below to see what was left in our Lost & Found and email us at info@midohiocon.com if any of the items are yours or you know how we can track down the owners.
